Volunteering Time at Treehouse
This Saturday, Team Monolith visited Treehouse in person to see what amazing work they do for foster kids in Washington.
We got a lesson from Brian on how items get from a donor's dropped-off bag into the Wearhouse. (The Treehouse Wearhouse is a free store where youth in foster care and their caregivers can shop for high quality new and like-new clothing, shoes, school supplies, toys, books, free tickets to events, and other essentials.) An item really has to look like something you'd see on a store shelf to make the cut.
Time for a sorting game!
We learned that bonnets are apparently "out of style".
We learned that even intentionally pre-distressed garments may be well-worn.
Garment after garment after garment.
A job well done! Thanks, Team Monolith!
